Purple Flower Abstraction
Redondo Beach, California
Early July, 2016
The world is filled with invisible flowers. We walk past them all the time. We barely notice them. Maybe it’s because, oddly enough, the world is filled with visible flowers. We get used to gardens and foundation plantings, and hedges and parks, all filled with flowering plants of one kind or another. I try to see flowers where we don’t expect to see flowers. Here is a case in point. A cluster of purple flowers, growing behind low hanging palm fronds, next to the remains of an old building’s walk way railings.
