I’ve commented several times in my journal that sunsets (and sunrises) are photographic cotton candy. Very sweet and sticky but ultimately these images just fade away. To some large extent we must be genetically programmed to love sunsets given the huge number of photographs (even fine art photographs) that are centered around either a sunset or a sunrise. I guess I am a genetic holotype of the archetype human being. I too like these scenes. But I resist, as much as possible photographing very many of them. Hence I include these two images in my journal with no other commentary.
