Motel Stairs on the Miami River
September 9, 2012
This is the fourth in a series of images from south Florida, in particular, in and around Miami Beach where I once lived on a small island (Normandy Isle) in Biscayne Bay.
Sitting off 71st Street, the main highway through Normandy Isle, to the left, on Bonita Drive, just over the Miami Bridge on the way east to Collins Avenue sits a small pink hotel, a last holdover from the 1950s. Here, centered on Apartment 1, is an abstract image taken of the hotel’s unique pink plaster architecture.
